Astronomical Accessories and Books

I have to start this section by saying that I am not a book reviewer. All I can do here is list some of the books which I personally have found to worth buying. There are many hundreds of books on astronomy and telescopes available. It is up to the individual to choose the author and topic best suited to their particular requirements.

That said, I feel that the small selection given here would be a worthwhile addition to any ones book collection. If possible, go to your local library and see you can borrow any of them before buying, that way at least you will know if a particular book is for you.

As for accessories, some are 'standard', that is most astronomers will need them at some point; others will depend on what you choose as your main observing target, and some are desirable but not essential.  This  page will gradually grow and develop over time as I read more books and use or purchase different accessories. Dip in, have a look--you may find something of interest!

This page is still under development. For the time being a simple list of books I feel are worth having on your bookshelf is given. A short review of each one will be added soon.
